Chef seminar is considered as a great and effective way to promote Alaska seafood to chefs and purchasing managers from hotels and restaurants. It is also a good platform for chefs to communicate with their own experience and ideas. Qingdao and Hangzhou are famous as tourism cities, which means there is a big market for Alaska seafood. This year, ASMI China will host a chef seminar in Qingdao and Hangzhou on December 7 and December 12, 2016 respectively, in collaboration with Sunkist Growers. About 50 chefs and purchasing staffs from high-end hotels and restaurants will be invited for each seminar. Alaska seafood like Alaska black cod, cod, yellowfin sole, perch, sockeye salmon, herring roe, and pollock roe will be featured at the seminar. 7 dishes will be developed in advance, and a celebrity chef will be invited to do the cooking demo of these 7 dishes to show the high quality of Alaska seafood. After cooking demo, All the 7-courses Alaska seafood dishes will be served for the participants. Special recipe booklets will be produced as handouts. For Sunkist Growers, the lemon will be highlighted in the menu and Sunkist Growers will share 10% cost from the event.
