Chef seminar is always a direct way to express the concept and the latest information of Alaska seafood. It is also a great platform for chefs to communicate with each others, discuss nutritional value of Alaska seafood, explore using seafood in different cuisines, and instruct on how to handle and prepare Alaska seafood products. ASMI China held the chef seminar in Nanjing and Guangzhou this year, and Beijing will be the third stop, which will be scheduled on June 28, 2016.
About 50 chefs and purchasing staffs from high-end hotels and restaurants are expected to attend the seminar. As usual, rep from ASMI China will give a presentation about Alaska seafood. A guest chef will be invited to do a 6-course cooking demo using Alaska seafood to help the audiences to properly handle Alaska seafood. The 6-course recipes will be developed in advance and produced into recipe booklets as hand-out. Alaska black cod, snow crab, yellowfin sole, sockeye salmon, Alaska cod and new product herring roe etc. will be the highlights of chef seminars. After cooking demo, all the 6-course Alaska seafood dishes will be served for the participants.
