Preparation

  1. Step 1 Prepare the Filling

    • In a small bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and cream cheese until smooth.
    • Stir in the chopped chives and season with black pepper.
  2. Step 2 Assemble the Roses

    • Preheat oven to 400°F.
    • Unroll the puff pastry and cut lengthwise into 6 equal strips.
    • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over each strip.
    • Cut the Alaska smoked salmon into thin strips and arrange along the length of each pastry strip.
    • Fold the pastry over the salmon so the salmon is partially covered.
    • Starting at one end, gently roll each strip into a rose shape.

  3. Step 3 Bake the Roses

    • Place the pastry roses in a muffin tin lined with parchment paper liners.
    • Bake for 30 minutes, covering loosely with aluminum foil halfway through baking to prevent the salmon from over-browning.
    • Bake until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.

  4. Step 4 Serve

    • Allow the smoked salmon roses to cool for a few minutes.
    • Serve warm as an appetizer or party snack.
