Nutrition and Quality Fact Sheets Now Available
ASMI Technical has completed two new fact sheets in collaboration with a registered dietitian and research partners – now available in the resource library.
The first sheet details the label claims which can be made for Alaska seafood species. Wild Alaska seafood meets the FDA criteria label of healthy as a clean, lean protein, low sodium, and no added sugars. The Wild Alaska Seafood Nutrient Claims fact sheet can be downloaded from the resource page.
The second sheet highlights the results of a research study showing no loss in quality for frozen seafood after two years of storage. The study sought to gauge perceptions of frozen seafood quality via a blind taste test of several Alaska seafood species and ultimately showed that overall quality was liked equally or more by consumers, even after being frozen for up to two years. This Frozen Seafood Quality Research can be found on the resource page.
These resources will also be available to order through our online ordering platform hosted by KP.
