On June 30, 2026, ASMI welcomed executives from FamilyMart Japan to Bristol Bay for a successful donation ceremony recognizing the company’s generous contribution of two new river boats to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G). A group of people pose in front of a boat.

The vessels will support ADF&G’s ongoing and critical science-backed work to sustainably manage the Bristol Bay fisheries.

The event highlighted the strong partnership between Alaska’s seafood industry and FamilyMart, one of Japan’s largest convenience store chains, and reinforced a shared commitment to sustainable seafood and responsible fisheries management.

The ceremony was well attended and served as a meaningful celebration of international collaboration and investment in Alaska’s fisheries.
