Flaky crescent rolls wrapped around tender Alaska salmon and baked until golden brown. Serve with a dipping sauces for an easy appetizer, party snack, or kid-friendly meal.

Ingredients
For the Salmon
- 8 ounces Alaska sockeye salmon fillet, cut into eight 1 x 3-inch strips
- Canola oil spray, as needed
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Honey Barbecue Sauce
- ⅓ cup mild barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon honey
Maple Mustard Sauce
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- ⅓ cup yellow mustard
For Assembly
- 1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- Note: This recipe also works well with Alaska halibut or Alaska cod.

Preparation

Step 1 Roast the Salmon
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Lightly coat a baking sheet with canola oil spray.
- Arrange salmon strips on the baking sheet and lightly spray tops with oil.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Roast for about 8 minutes, or until the salmon is just cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.

Step 2 Make the Sauces
- In a small bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, ketchup, and honey until smooth. Set aside.
- In another small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup and yellow mustard. Set aside.

Step 3 Assemble and Bake
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
- Spread about ½ teaspoon Honey Barbecue Sauce onto each triangle.
- Place a salmon strip at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll up the dough around the salmon and place point-side down on a baking sheet.
- Whisk together the egg and water to make an egg wash.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with the egg wash.
- Bake for 15–17 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with Honey Barbecue Sauce, Maple Mustard Sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Step 4 Pizza Dough Variation
- Roll pizza dough into 2½ x 2½-inch squares.
- Spread each square with ½ teaspoon Honey Barbecue Sauce, leaving a ½-inch border along one edge.
- Brush the border lightly with water.
- Place a piece of salmon on the opposite edge and roll tightly.
- Place seam-side down on a baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F for 15–17 minutes, or until golden brown.
