ASMI Welcomes Jeff Welbourn to the ASMI Board of Directors
Jeff Welbourn serves as President of Trident USA, leading Trident Seafoods’ North America and Latin America businesses, including Value-Added Operations, Domestic Sales, Commercial Strategy, Research & Development, Product Management, and Sales Operations. In this role, he works across harvesting, processing, sales, and operations to drive sustainable growth and create value throughout the seafood supply chain.
Jeff brings a unique, end-to-end perspective to the industry, with experience spanning the entire Alaska seafood value chain. He began his career as a processor in Bristol Bay and later participated in commercial fishing operations on Kodiak Island before advancing through leadership roles in plant management, international operations, commercial strategy, systems development, and large-scale Alaska processing operations. Throughout his career, he has focused on strengthening the competitiveness of Alaska seafood through innovation, market development, operational excellence, and cross-industry collaboration.
A longtime supporter of ASMI’s mission, Jeff previously served on the ASMI Domestic Marketing Committee and has worked closely with private sector and government partners to promote healthy, sustainable fisheries and expand demand for Alaska seafood around the world. ASMI is pleased to welcome Jeff to its Board of Directors, where his broad industry experience and commitment to Alaska seafood will help support the organization’s continued success.
