Instructions
-
Step 1 Prep Crab
Preheat grill to medium-high heat (450F).
Rinse frozen Alaska king crab legs under cold running water to remove any ice glaze; pat dry with paper towels.
For each pound of crab use 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 teaspoon of seafood spice. Blend olive oil and seasoning. Place crab legs on an 18-inch piece of heavy duty foil and pour or brush oil blend onto legs. Lay another foil sheet over crab and thoroughly crimp edges to seal, leaving room for heat circulation inside.
-
Step 2 Cook Crab
To cook, slide foil bag onto heated grill and cook 8-10 minutes for frozen crab or 4 minutes for thawed crab.
-
Step 3 Smoky Variation
Soak wood chips (alder, cedar, apple, etc.) in water for 30 minutes; drain. Add chips to coals. Grill rinsed and dried crab legs on baking sheet until crab is heated through.
