Alaska Seafood Marks Wild Salmon Season with New Seattle – London Flight Route
ASMI has launched its First Flight, First Catch campaign in the UK to celebrate the start of the wild Alaska salmon season and the inaugural Alaska Airlines direct route between Seattle and London Heathrow. The new daily service creates an additional route to market for Alaska seafood and helps bring fresh, in-season wild Alaska salmon to UK chefs, retailers and consumers.
The campaign included a Whole Foods Market retail promotion with chef tasting and in-store demo with fisherman Thea Thomas, a London supper club for media and trade guests at London’s historic Fishmonger’s Hall, influencer partnerships, PR activity, and social media content highlighting the quality, seasonality and sustainability of wild Alaska seafood.

Timed to coincide with the opening of Alaska’s commercial salmon harvest, the campaign also reinforces Alaska’s strong position in the UK market, where consumer awareness and demand for responsibly sourced seafood continue to grow.
