The James Beard Awards® are among the most prestigious honors in the culinary world, recognizing outstanding talent, innovation, and dedication to sustainability in food and beverage. This year, we’re thrilled to celebrate four incredible chefs from the Alaska Seafood Culinary Alliance who have been named 2025 James Beard Award semifinalists—two of whom proudly represent Alaska!

A Growing Community of Alaska Seafood Champions

Launched in 2024, the Alaska Seafood Culinary Alliance was created to bring together chefs who share a deep appreciation for wild, sustainable Alaska seafood. This community highlights culinary leaders who not only craft incredible dishes but also champion the fishermen, processors, and pristine waters that make Alaska seafood so special. In just its first year, the Alliance has already seen some of its chefs recognized among the best in the industry.
