Sassa Sushi

Sassá Sushi is a Japanese restaurant, with two units in the city of São Paulo, that is sourcing Alaska Sockeye Salmon and Black Cod, clearly identifying their origin in the menu and using ASMI logo since August 2014. ASMI has not contributed financially to this initiative. In addition to the stores, Sassá Sushi uses the delivery system – Sassá Delivery – as one of its main channels of sales, having an average of 8,000 orders per month thru I Food (https://www.ifood.com.br/delivery/sao-paulo-sp/sassa-sushi—jardins-jardim-paulista/). In one year, Sassá has sourced over 600 kg of Alaska Sockeye Salmon.

The restaurant developed new courses with the specie as part of its new organic and natural menu. Among the 40 options elaborated with whole rice and organic vegetables, there are 11 items elaborated with Alaska Sockeye Salmon – sushis, sashimis, among other options. ASMI Brazil partnered with the restaurant in the promotion of the new menu for one year long, collaborating to print delivery boxes with ASMI logo and educational flyers on the specie and participated in the launching event organized by the restaurant with about 100 guests, including journalists, bloggers and opinion makers last September 28. Event venue was decorated with ASMI branded material and ASMI Brazil team had the opportunity to address guest`s questions on the wild, natural and sustainable characteristics of Alaska seafood and distribute informative material.
