The Tohoku region of Northeast Japan is traditionally one of the most important consumption areas for Alaska seafood. Consumers Cooperative Tohoku – “Coop Tohoku Sun-Net”, is a federation of 9 single Consumers’ Cooperatives in the Tohoku region. The total annual supply amount of the 9 cooperatives was around US$2.26 billion, and the total annual supply amount from “Coop Tohoku Sun-Net” to the member coops was around US$1billion in the last fiscal year. Each cooperative has a strong relationship with its union members through stores and delivery network, as well as a stable relationships with AK seafood products suppliers.
ASMI Japan is going to support an “Alaska Seafood Fair” at 100 Coop Tohoku Sun-Net stores for the above mentioned products, by providing POS materials featuring the AK seafood logo (posters, sign cards etc) and DVDs of the AK Seafood promotional movie.
ASMI Japan is also going to support an “Alaska Seafood Prize Campaign”. Consumers who buy Alaska Seafood Fair items worth more than 500 yen during the fair period can apply for an Alaska Seafood Prize lottery. ASMI will provide Alaska seafood presents for 180 consumers.
