ASMI Japan is planning a tie-up promotion with Sogo-Seibu Department store in Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture (close to Tokyo), to promote Alaska seafood.
The first activity will be a cooking presentation. ASMI Japan will send cooking specialist Ryuta Kijima to demonstrate how to make beautiful sushi using Alaska seafood including sockeye salmon, Alaska Pollack roe, and herring roe. Mr. Kijima is going to conduct two cooking demonstrations in the afternoon of April 29th, at 13:00 and 14:00, targeting approximately 50 attendees. Then he may move to the department stores seafood section to conduct another demonstration to shoppers (to be confirmed).
Secondly, ASMI Japan will send one demonstration staff (at a time) to the department store over a nine-day period, 09:30-18:00 each day, to promote sales of Alaska seafood including sockeye salmon, Alaska pollock roe, herring roe, and salmon roe.
In addition, Sogo-Seibu Department Store is focusing on sustainability as part of its CSR efforts, and therefore Alaska Seafood’s sustainability will be promoted through Sogo-Seibu’s media channels. Sogo-Seibu and Mr. Kijima may also make announcements about the Alaska seafood fair and cooking demonstrations via social media.
