ASMI Japan is planning to collaborate with the Marriott hotel group to conduct a fair, called “Alaska Seafood Experience” from January 20th to February 28th, 2017. As part of the fair, a special Alaska seafood and wine marriage seminar with ASMI Japan’s ambassador Shinya Tasaki will also be held on February 3rd. The fair will take place in 3 hotels – Tokyo Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott in Kyobashi, and Courtyard in Shin-Osaka. Marriott will be announcing the fair and seminar to their customers through their mail magazine, as well as through a leaflet. The target audience for the seminar will be Marriott’s VIP guests and the total number of attendees, including journalists, is expected to be approximately 40. The venue will be Lounge and Dining G at Tokyo Marriott Hotel, Shinagawa Tokyo, which is quite famous and has a good reputation. Executive Chef will make special recipes using snow crab, rockfish, sockeye salmon, and sockeye salmon roe.
During the wine marriage event, ASMI Japan’s celebrity ambassador Mr. Shinya Tasaki will make a presentation about Alaska seafood, titled “The Marriage of Alaska Seafood to French Cuisine and US Wines.” He will focus on fishing, species, and environment of Alaska seafood. Participants will have opportunities to taste Alaska seafood recipes prepared by the chef and learn about Alaska seafood itself.
