Culinary Retreat

August 17, 2016 - August 21, 2016

ASMI is hosting 12 chefs and media in Ketchikan and Noyes Island August 17 – 21, 2016. The goal of this retreat is to educate the attendees about Alaska seafood. During the retreat the group will learn about the commercially harvested species of Alaska seafood, observe commercial fishing, and gain hands-on experience. The chefs and media will have the opportunity to speak with fisherman and biologists, taste all types of Alaska seafood, learn to fillet a salmon, learn proper techniques for cooking with frozen seafood, and visit seafood processing plants.
