The in-bound mission will consist of a total of ten people, which will include seven Chinese seafood buyers from Mainland China and Hong Kong, two from China media and one from the ASMI China office. For the Chinese traders, face to face interaction is crucial to build strong relations, while their firsthand experience with Alaska’s natural environment is an indispensable tool for ingraining the advantages of Alaska Seafood. So, the buyer mission will include meetings with Alaska seafood suppliers and visits to manufacturing facilities and processing plants. Also, it is believed the involvement of media will be productive to further expose Alaska seafood to Chinese consumers.
The delegation will arrive in Anchorage on July 8, spend July 9-12 in Kodiak, and July 12-14 in Seattle.
