Entertaining the Sunset Way

An Interview with the DenalskisAlaska Seafood had the rare opportunity to partner with Sunset magazine’s test kitchen to develop six mouth-watering new recipes featuring a variety of Alaska Seafood species: Weathervane Scallops, Halibut, Dungeness Crab, Spot Prawns, and Salmon are all showcased in recipes suitable for any occasion.

Perfect appetizers include: Alaska Weathervane scallops topped with flavorful Catalonian romesco on potato crisps, while Alaska Spot Prawns are cured with sugar and salt, grilled, then served with avocado cream. Dungeness crab and wild mushrooms are paired in a delicious chowder suitable for a first course or hearty enough for a meal.

For entrées choose from pan-roasted Alaska Halibut, topped with chimichurri and served with herb infused “green” rice. A mélange of Alaska Seafood are brought together in Thai curry with sticky rice.
