Sunset, September 2006
The September issue of Sunset magazine features an article titled: "Responsible Seafood Feast," which features Dory Ford, executive chef at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Ford favors "good cooking that's part of a bigger picture," and menus "environmentally sustainable" food.

The article highlights a dinner recently prepared by Ford in which he included wild Pacific halibut and wild Alaska Salmon noting, "both from fisheries that are managed well."

In addition, two "wild recipes" are featured in the article including: Fennel-Spiced Wild Salmon and Dill-Cured Halibut with Mustard Sauce, which mentions as a precursor to the recipe, "Pacific halibut gets a green light from Seafood Watch for its well-managed fisheries in both California and Alaska."

Sunset magazine has over 1.3 million subscribers and focuses on "life in the west," encompassing home, travel, food and garden.


Runner's World, October 2006
Runner's World magazine includes salmon in its "The Best Grocery List of All Time" article, which covers "The 15 foods runners need every week for good health and top performance." Salmon is lauded as "one of the best food sources of omega-3 fatty acids." The article recommends readers concerned about mercury or PCB contamination choose wild salmon.
