Holiday Cooking with America's Top Chefs, a brand new consumer magazine, features 112 recipes to help readers celebrate this holiday season. Acclaimed Swedish chef Marcus Samuelsson contributed a contemporary, Scandinavian Christmas smorgasbord menu that includes Gravlax with Mustard Sauce featuring fresh, wild salmon. Samuelsson notes, "This dish stands or stumbles on the quality of the fish. If you can get fresh, sashimi-grade wild, Pacific salmon, your gravlax will not only stand, it will sing."

Consumers hoping to stay healthy this holiday season will find helpful and delicious ideas in this month's Natural Health Magazine. The magazine promotes healing with special holiday recipes. Each recipe includes a "How it Heals" section explaining the restorative properties of its ingredients. The "How it Heals" segment of the Smoked Salmon Canapés with Dill Cream Cheese and Dijon-Lemon Sauce recipe focuses mainly on the healing powers of Wild Pacific Salmon. Natural Health explains how Astaxanthin, found naturally in wild salmon, acts as an antioxidant and fights free radicals. The magazine makes their salmon preferences clear stating, "Wild-caught Pacific varieties have up to 10 times more of the stuff than farmed Atlantic types."
