Alaska Seafood Advertises in SheKnows Diet and Fitness and SheKnows Cooking Smart Magazines
ASMI's "So Wild it Practically Flips Over on It's Own" ad is featured in the January issue of Diet and Fitness and the February issue of Cooking Smart. The ad stresses the unbeatable taste of Wild Alaska Salmon and the number of simple recipes that Wild Alaska Salmon compliments.

In Diet and Fitness, the "So Wild" ad falls next to an article entitled "The Dining Detective," which informs readers of the health benefits of eating fish. ASMI originally developed the "So Wild" ad in 2005 as part of a series of ads aiming to increase consumer brand preference and demand for Alaska Seafood. The ad running in Diet and Fitness and Cooking Smart is an updated version of the original but it still seeks the same target audience, 35 to 54 year-old, health and environmentally conscious women who enjoy cooking at home.

"Catch of the Day" Promotion Features Two Great "Catches Alaska Salmon & Alaskan Beer!"
The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) partnered with the Alaskan Brewing Company to offer consumers in nine states (AK, WA, OR, CA, NV, AZ, ID, MT, WY) the opportunity to land a "catch of the day" April through June. While the bear featured in the ad must make the tough choice between Alaska Salmon and Alaskan Beer, consumers can pick up both with a $5 mail-in rebate on any Alaska Seafood, fresh or frozen Alaska Salmon, Halibut, Cod, Pollock, Sole or Crab (King, Snow, or Dungeness), purchases totaling $20 or more with the purchase of a six-pack of Alaskan Beer. An instant-redeemable coupon for a Nantucket Rub and a mail-in purchase of Alaskan Cedar Planks will also be part of the promotion, ensuring customers are ready for summer grilling.

The promotion is also a catch for retailers. Numerous eye-catching point-of-sale materials have been developed including: a 3D Waterfall display, a salmon cutout, casecards, stacker signs and tear off coupons.
