JUNEAU, AK (August, 2004) - Ivar's seafood restaurants, a Seattle institution since 1938, recently began its Alaska Adventure promotion. Ivar's Acres of Clams and Ivar's Salmon House will feature Wild Alaska seafood on its menus from August 16 to September 30, 2004. At the end of the promotion, two diners will be chosen to win a weeklong Alaska Getaway cruise! "Customers are well educated on the food they eat and where it comes from and Alaska Seafood means, wild, quality seafood from pristine waters," notes Kirsten Wlaschin, Director of Marketing for Ivar's. "By procuring from Alaska, we are only enhancing the finest seafood in the world through our preparations." Menu items include wild Alaska Salmon, King Crab, Halibut, Razor Clams, and Weathervane Scallops. Or, dig into a "Taste of Alaska" Combo Meal. Entry forms for the Alaska Getaway cruise will be accepted through September 30. The vacation giveaway is a seven-day "Alaska Glacier Bay" cruise for two.
