|
Juneau, Alaska. June 30, 2009 – The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) has released a new resource for operators titled: Alaska Seafood The Big Appeal of Smaller Portions. Included are smaller-size recipes allowing for fewer ingredients, lower food costs and greater menu versatility, without sacrificing flavor, quality or customer appeal. Recipes include: Tamarind Glazed Rockfish, Ginger-Soy Infused Steamed Alaska Halibut, and Grilled Tandoori Alaska Cod.
Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Alaska statehood. The framers of the Alaska Constitution recognized the importance of protecting Alaska’s abundant natural resources, and included in their landmark document a mandate that “fish…be utilized, developed, and maintained on the sustained yield principle.” This dedication to sustainable management has resulted in an ever-replenishing supply of wild seafood for markets around the world. |
